a friend of mine and her husband used relate for quite a long time and their experience was very positive,
If your sister can forgive her husband and move on then relate would help but if she is just going to keep pushing the affair in his face everytime they have a disagreement then it would be best for her to walk away
I went with my ex-husband when it was called the Marriage Guidance Council back in 1985, they really just let us have the chance to talk about our feelings and problems without distraction and very rarely did the counsellor make any comment or input and so my ex husband got fed up with it. i found it very good though, and we did stay married for another 8 years. What was the most interesting was that I was able to talk freely and my ex was bottled up and did not show any hidden depths :(
My sister and her husband went a couple of years ago. It worked quite well initailly (in that they were getting on better), but they seem to be back to how they were before now. I think that both parties need be 'open to it' and see it as a way of sorting through their issues, rather than one going to humour the other (stating the obvious there!)
