Salt and warm water will work . . . . . eventually.
Most mouth ulcers will clear up in about a week.
There are a number of non-prescription items available from chemists.
If you have ulcers lasting for a fortnight or more you should see your doctor.
A mouth ulcer won't always go away in three days (mine's still sore from last Friday), but is it any better at all? If it's actually getting better, keep on with the treatments you're using and just give it time. If it doesn't clear, or if it gets worse, have a chat with a pharmacist or see the doctor.
Hi spaced
The best treatment is an ointment from the chemist called
ADCORTYL IN ORABASE. Follow this up with a course of Vitamin B complex tablets for 3 months. I used to suffer with mouth ulcers, but tried the above and haven't had an ulcer for at least 10 years now. Hope this helps.

I started taking multi vitamins after an outbreak and haven't had one in years now! Just keep numbing it with salt and bonjela and start taking some multi vitamins
And if you get them a lot eat Vitamin B filled foods - Marmite is a good one. (Or take the supplements if you can swallow the horse pills)
3 days isn't long. If you get a particularly nasty one you can have it for 2 weeks. As a hint though - when you get that hole in the middle and your tongue can feel it quie obviously it means it's on its way out.
I've suffered with severe ulcers for 10 years. Nothing to do with eating sweets, more like when I'm tired ro stressed. The marmite toast has definitely helped though!
