Why are men funny than women?

Yep... can't beat a smiley face for injecting meaning. Just don't put them in 'news'.... I hid under my desk for days after venturing in there the first time... these days I bring my flask, ear muffs, pop corn and own soap box... they're going cheap in woolies.

i've seen various remarks in reference to jimmy rimmer in footy! i always thought it was a joke that was over my head! Maybe you should head off into sport and ask there china, oh, and let me know when you find out ;-)

Could it be that traditionally, women are brought up to constantly worry about how they look and how they are perceived by others? As in - little girls should appear neat and tidy and cute, while little boys are at their best when covered in mud to the point of nearly being unrecognizeable. It used to be that it was not 'the done thing' for women to be telling jokes. It wasn't lady-like apparently. And as women are not used to telling jokes on a regular basis, they often find it hard to actually remember the ones they would like to tell. Nothing worse that getting to the end of a joke and then finding you've forgotten the punch line! :( Men don't seem to have the same hang-ups, about how the rest of the world perceives them. Mind you, sometimes it would be good if they did! If a man is ugly and funny, everyone loves him, but if a woman is seen as ugly, not a lot of guys are willing to take the time to find out if she is funny or not. I think there are many great comediennes out there, but they have to fight far harder than the men to be heard. That does not in any way mean that women are any less funny though!!! Look at people like Victoria Wood, Maureen Lipman, July Walters, Joan Rivers, Joe Brand etc etc... Thank God times are changing and women are now free to show their funny side! Isn't it strange though, that women put far less value on a man's physical features and far more on their personality and most men do the opposite when meeting a women? Ah well .... they'll learn sooner or later :)
