daily disposable lenses

How do you get them out! I always got on well with ordinary soft lenses, but got fed up with the cleaning etc. I can get these daily ones in but am having terrible trouble getting them out. (Had to get help with them last time). Why the difference and what can I do about it?

What i do is to pull your bottom eyelid down with the second finger of one hand, touch the corner of the lens with my index finger of the same hand, and drag it down until it wrinkles. Grab the wrinke with the other hand and nip it out. Otherwise push it into the corner of your eye (towards your nose) and it will pop out

I'm agree... daily disposables are much harder to remove. Presumably the consistency or composition of the lens has changed somehow, making them stick to the eye more (uuurghh!). My method is to move the lens slightly with my index finger, which I presume loosens the stickiness, then narrow my eyelids until the lens pops out. Trial and error, trial and error...

Funny enough I was at the optician today for a check up and decided to opt for contacts so this from the horses mouth so to speak....Daily disposables are thinner to allow more oxygen to get at the eye but the actual composition of the lenses hasn't changed any so they aren't actually sticking to the eye they are just more fiddly because they are thinner...if your having real problems then changing to a cheaper thicker lens might help.

My fianc� was just today at the opticians getting some disposables for the first time. She works as a pool lifeguard and was advised not to wear the lenses at work because all of the extra chlorine in the air would dry her eyes out. This would result in the lenses sticking. She was also advised not to wear them whilst travelling on an aeroplane because this would also dry the eyes. Check with your optician first but maybe you should try using something like optrex to keep your eyes moist.

Thanks for your answers and hurrah! I got the stars to work. I will be trying these techniques over the weekend when it's not such a panic if I can't get them out quickly. Looking sexy would be great (might take more than glasses though!) but I like the bigger field of vision.
