Don't worry this isn't a pro-life thread intended to make vulnerable women feel terrible about themselves! I was asked this question when I did biology at A-level and it really made me think so I was wondering
Imagine you were a Doctor and a pregnant woman comes to you .She already has 8 children 4 deaf,3 blind and 1 mentally ill.She is also infected with syphilis.Would you incourage her to have an abortion? Believe me there is a reason I am asking.
Abortion / no abortion - I think every woman should be told what her options are, but that in the end it is she who must decide on what is best for her and her unborn child. Beethoven's mum clearly did that, even though she may not have realised it at the time.
I am a little bothered. There is nothing overtly nasty about this thread, it seems to me more like an attempt, albeit clumsy, to introduce the Beethoven myth, and raise an interesting dilemma.
What was the posting mistake dot ?
I am surprised that DrChandra continues to post, given the hot reception each time. Aren't you ?
Why is it important to you whiffey? It was an error made by the AB user pretending to be a retired doctor and they posted in their other user name. Why does it matter, it is obvious noone believes the doctor is for real, like most people on here, move on.
Thanks dotty, but could you explain the mistake and link me to it anyway nonetheless ? It's obviously not life-changing, but this is AB and I find it interesting.
If the real user was so blatantly outed, then why bother posting again ?
...if you have retired after 33 years as a gp...that means you qualified in 1973, ... med school , 5 years (takes us to 1968) 2 years of A levels...takes us to 1966 (first year of a level , aged 17)...when abortion was illegal, so I doubt any teacher back then would ask such a question .....
