Hiya
I have also put this in parenting as wasn't sure where it should go. I am 5 momths pregnant and trying to come up with babies names. So far have a few for boys but no girls name. The problem is, my name is so unusual that I have never met or heard of anyone with my name. I like being unique and want my child to have a fairly unusual name that isn't too common also but am struggling. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Also, it is hard as I don't want anything too out there or something that is fashionable just for now. Do you know what I mean??
Thanks in advance for you help :o)

My friends kids are called Madison and Liberty. I thought they were a little weird at first but now they really suit them. I also like Hatty, Erin or Grace
What is the surname ? cos you don' want names that clash with a surname, like Rose Bush, or Ben Dover, do you, that will help, Ray
Personally i like reasonably traditional names....

I like..... Mia (not too original - but these days i think thats what everyone likes....)

dont know how unusual, but some I like - abigail, elise, florence, eve, leo, james, jessamy, joelle, kirsten, evangeline, carrie, keisha, tyra, juliet, some of them are known names but maybe not common, My name is Siobhan which is kinda rare but it causes me issues. People never know how to pronounce it, does my head in ! Congrats on your bump x
spk do people call u sio ban......lol.

i know two girls called Siobhan - so always get it right :D

My names Natalie - brothers name's Jack......
Dont think my parents couldve been any more unoriginal if they tried. But i do like my name :D
Scarlett

My wife and I are in a very similar position. I think you have to forget what anyone else thinks and just go with something that appeals to you and your partner. Whatever you choose it will grow on people eventually, but you need to be mindful of quirky names so that they dont get picked on at school for it. We are currently considering Niamh (neeve) for a girl and Shea (shay) for a boy. But that will change next week.
aww Te Amo is lovely actually..
