Fear of flying
7 Answers
Is there any sleeping pill or tranquilliser that really works to knock you out for a flight (any phobia type training has failed) My son has such a bad reaction during the flight and now it looks like he won't be able to come to my wedding which involves a long haul flight, we are all so bitterly disappointed including him - I feel so sorry for him as he tried the other day to go on a short 50 min flight and was really in a bad way ...... any ideas will be welcome

The only way he can overcome it is by accepting the whole experience. If you try to stop it then it will get worse. Just think "Whatever will be, will be". The thing with flying is usually people don't wanna feel out of control, but the irony of it is is that it ends up controlling you.
I had my first flight last week. Once your in the air for a long time u just get bored of caring.

I too suffered from the fear of flying and my GP would subscribe me with drugs that really took the edge of my fear. Used them for years. I have now completed the fear without flying course and fly this weekend to the USA. (there are 1000's of people who suffer) I think that if your son decides not to fly then you have to go with that. It just means that this isn't the right time in his life for him. This doesn't have to be forever. All the Best
