Heinz, Tabasco, autumn colors, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Hope, and an administration which stands up for Western freedoms. Leonard Bernstein. Loads and loads more.
Everyone who I have spoken to that has been to the states has commented on how polite and helpful most of your people are if they need assistance in the street if they are lost etc. I have never been myself.
I love Adam sandler I think he is great cant really think of anything I dislike actually.
In no particular order: John Fante, Johnny Depp, Sylvia Plath, Jeff and Tim Buckley, Truman Capote, Jelly Belly Beans, Big Red chewing gum, Levi jeans, Stila make-up, Betty Boop, Robert De Niro, Spike Lee, Hubert Selby Jnr, Allen Ginsberg, Tim Burton, can't think of any more my brain hurts!!!
floridian, again ... nice to have you with us! There are a great many things I love about the US, so here are some of them - Main Lobster (the best in the world!) Alaska King Crab from "The Shack" in Palm Bay!; great service and polite people, bar-b-q spare ribs, American pancakes and waffles with bacon & maple syrup, Florida's beautiful beaches and theme parks, slow drives up the A1listening to some of the greats in American music, the manatee in the waters of Indian River, American actors, singers and musicians (nearly as great as ours in the UK and in Ireland! LOL) ... the list is very long indeed. But one thing that stands out is the resilience of the American people when they are struck down by hurricanes (i.e. in Florida), floods (i.e. Louisiana), terrorism (9/11)and the like. Americans always have an amazing way of regaining their positive attitude, of picking themselves up, dusting off the debris and rebuilding their lives. I so admire that!
