It's just my name... I've never really thought about it.

I don't really like people I don't know shortening it but that said, the people that do shorten it are my family and about three close friends and I like that they do it. (I know, I'm a weirdo).

However, I'm not too partial to some of my nick names!

Mine is quite unusual and i probably like that it is a wee bit 'different', but it is also irritating because no one spells it the right way!

To make things simpler i have to shorten it to 4 letters otherwise heads explode with confusion :-o

Loobie. My daughter's name is Lisa Marie and I didn't even know Elvis's daughter was called that at the time. I just thought the two names went well together. Luckily she likes it. I on the other hand hate mine. First and second name. When I was younger, I was quite shy and some people mistook this for being a bit stuck up and I don't think my name helped too much either.
