How do you Describe love?

My friend and I are having an arguement about it...
Because she tells me I'm 'in love' with a particular person, but I say I dunno because I don't know what love feels like.
So whats love exactly?

I knew that I was in love with my husband because he was the first thing I think about in the morning and the last thing at night. I get anxious if I dont speak to him and worry whether he is happy or not. For me, being in love means making sure that he is.
I agree. Its caring so much about the other person and they are always not far from your mind. Its the last thing you think about when going to sleep and the first thing you think about when waking. Its a feeling that comes from the heart and soul. Try to imagine them not being around anymore and gauge the hurt you feel if you knew you would never see them again.

It's nice to see the same people who replied then, are still happily helping others with their questions.

We've been good friends for a while, and we never stop talking to each other. And one day I just woke up and felt completely different about him.
But I'd known long before that, that he was completely obbsessed with someone else. We almost fell out because we argued about his constant talking about this other person...
Before I eventually admitted I liked him, we talked for a while before he admitted that "he didn't feel the same way"
I was completely crushed, but pushed it back because, if I knew we couldn't be together then I couldn't loose him as a friend. So here I am now, still completely crazy about him, and talking to him as if he's my best friend... and it's complete torture.

Hey Silversky,
I don't want to sound really horrid or anything and I really don't mean to but perhaps it would be a good idea to take some time out from the friendship. You sound like you're torturing yourself wishing for something to happen and while he is this much of a focus in your life then you're not giving yourself a chance to see what else is out there. Bit of space might do you good. xx
