Coldsores!!! aaarrggghhhh!!!

What's the best way of getting rid of them? Anybody know anything that heals them up really quickly? I use that Zovirax but I don't think its very good and even at the first tingle its never stopped any of my coldsores appearing! I get about two a year. Does anybody have any miracle cure or has anybody tried anything randomly that has worked?

Cold sores are caused by the herpese virus (also responsible for the STD, chicken pox and shingles). This virus hides in the nrevous system and makes itself apparent when the person is under stress or run down. I don't think that there is an anti-viral agent for cold sores, but you could try getting some rest. Otherwise you are left to treat the symptoms (any one else?).
