Don't know what to do!

I'm in love with a bloke - unfortunately (as far as I'm aware) its completely unreciprocated. He's occupying my thoughts from when I wake up to when I go to sleep and I've completely lost the ability to concentrate for more than 2 seconds at a time. He is a friend of mine and he is easily the loveliest person I have ever met but I'm more than aware thats its all one-sided (I think it would be called 'punching above my weight'!)
It doesn't help that I work with him and that he's paid me more compliments in the last few months than I've received in my entire life. My stomach jumps whenever I see/talk to him and I am sick to death of wishing for something I know will never happen.
Anyone got any bright ideas on how to 'get him out of my system'?

Wardy , that doesnt help darling. As mucjh as I fancy your Bentley, as a lady I know how the wee girl is feeling, I am going through something very similar myself, and I have never wanted a guy as much as I do this one, but he thinks I was too 'heavy' so hes called it a day, and its the most awful feeling in the world, but you will be strong and get through it, think, feel and be independent - push him away and the more you do that the more he will want to be in touch, men are weird. end of. Confidence in a woman is very sexy to a man. This guy I have ignored for over a week and he has already text me about 20 times since friday ! See what I mean - weird!

Hi Missy - i am completely in the same sitaution as you..Desperately fancy a client of mine through work, (Not sure about love but definitely lust)..I like him and have done for nearly a year..i think to myself what a waste of time sometimes but patience is a virtue and all...It's not always easy to tell someone, but the key is to keep busy, occupied, don't put your life on hold for one person..He may suddenly realise one day if he doesnt already that youre the one for him.>And if your not? Then your the one for someone else, a million times better! I need to sort my situation out straight away! x x

I am SO in the same situation as you Missy and I have posted about it before. Therefore I cant really help you as I dont know the answer myself. It is an all consuming feeling that you have no control of, my heart jumps too when I see mine. I have a strong feeling he doesnt feel the same and he has a girlfriend I believe but I know there is a strong connection between us. As hard as it is you have to know that you cannot make somebody feel a certain way, it has to come from them. All we can do is be patient..which can be very difficult.
lust dies........love grows
i've been in a situation like that also missy.
it may not feel like it now but if nothing comes of it then it was lust and it will die............... if its love? the only way is up
the minute you start thinking about him, think of something else. the only way u'll be able to see if its love is to tell him
good luck
