I knew some of these anyway and just wanted to prove that I had exactly the right words for the first lines.

The ones I didn't know, I used Google. I put in the line "linked" and added the word lyrics - example - Night-and-day-you-torture-me lyrics - and up they pop! I gave you the links to prove I hadn't made them up!

Sorry ageingfast, I didn't quite understand that--did you put dashes in between the words? Sorry to appear very thick but this is new to me and every bit helps. Can you write out an example of what you typed exactly, just for sad old me?

What a star you are ageing fast.
Barbara ... it looks like the dashes must mean something because I've been googling for weeks on some of these. I would type in the words followed by lyrics and still I couldn't get them !!
This one is ready for the envelope now, so on to the next one. I was hoping that doing the quizzes would keep the brain active but I think it just leaves mine in a bit of a stew !! xx

Go to Google

Type in the words linked by hyphens, eg

Night-and-day-you torture-me

This means that the search brings up sites where the words are in that exact order first.

Sometimes you need to add an unlinked word such as song or lyrics.

Hope that mkaes more sense.

Thanks both of you. I think I need a Google training course!
I have learned such a lot from fellow puzzlers about searching and have a lot of sympathy for people who get "this is easy to find on Google" for an answer. It is only easy when you know the tricks!
