well think about the 60's, clothing repoductions and vintage garments are coming back into fashion this season so I guess the hair could be something to do with that? I don't know which style you're talking about... the bob?
well have a look at louise brooks, girls in the 20's followed her and she set alot of trends, especially the hair. If you think about some of the fashions today, ie the long tunic with dropped waist or a belt worn low with it, well that's from the 20's too.
You are right, loukr. Women have been choosing the Louise Brooks hairstyle ever since she sported it..it was very daring for the time, and I have seen this style worn by all types of women for yonks.
yeah! not my cup of tea though.. I sported one when I was about 10.. before straighteners were around and my hair was awful, never went wher I wanted it to go!!
Ahhhh...see that's where I am lucky. I can carry off a bob 'do' no probs as my hair is poker straight! a great thing now that straight hair is fashionable, but in the 'curly' years I had to have perms.
You know the first time I read your post I thought it said 'perhaps from the tweenies or something' How uncanny that she looks like the girl from the tweenies :-)
I think the revival was brought about by the American? girl ice skater who partnered David Seaman on the celebrity ice dance show. A bit longer and fuller than bobs before.
