do you get embarrassed buying underwear? i bought a pack of 5 y fronts in my local primark today and i could sense the giggling which made me decidedly uncomy , i also purchased a nice fawn tank top with matching slippers and i got a pair of beige cotton slacks so apart from the check out ordeal im quite pleased with my days purchases
I do.... When I do my twice yearly lingerie shop from Oxfam there's no where to try it on so you just have to strip in the store.
Then you have to pay for it and it doesn't come with any packaging so everyone can see my choice.... I noticed someone eyeing up the lime green pair I had which I was partnering with a rather fetching brown and pink polka dot bra.
Still.... It's worth it, you have to maintain your standards. And I got some lovely etchings of kittens to stick on my wall at the same time. And a cushion with the queens head embroidered on it.
I never buy Underwear bob, I knit my own, I wish I could, but the colours I like are never in fashion, I have just knitted some Y fronts in Marmalade Orange with a purple Y, I also included a canvas gusset complete with pocket,I keep toilet tissue in the pocket, just in case, also handy for keeping small change, I wish I had your taste in clothes though I feel so dated when I hear of the things you buy.
Yes they are,so ehen I get out the pool everybody else does as well, cos most of it is in my gusset, people trying to clamber into the water through the leg holes is not nice, my gusset banging on the floor and a strong smell of chlorine,
I don't, I always go to marksies, mostly women in the underwear dept, Next time why not send Mrs H, Oh hang on, second thoughts dont, shed probably come back with thongs for you!!! :-(
bob... how fabulous you will look now in your new y fronts and slacks . do they match your cardigan ? if i didnt know better id say your trying to impress a neighbour !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you wee stoater you .
Has your tank top got those lovely diamond patterns on it and what about a flowery matching-shirt&tie combo. I find suspenders keep my socks up best. Primark have run out of braces do you know, they had those lovely striped ones, am going to try Woolies. it's nice to know their are at least 2 of us with sartorial elegance on here. Cheers mate.
Ps Best to sew the bobble on the slippers on firmly b4 you wear them, you wouldn't want to loose them.
I don't usually get embarrassed buying underwear, but I admit I'd rather not be served by someone I know when I do buy it, because that would embarrass me.
