Anyone put up their christmas decorations yet?
I put ours up yesterday. Thought well we bought all the prezzies so why not get into the spirit nice and early.

i know its early I was bored yesterday so went and got them outta da shed, me and the kids put the tree up. i then had to go cut the grass so we could put lights in the garden out the front it was blinking cold, but seeing the kids faces when we turned the lights on gave me such a lift that i feel it was the right thing to do, trying to keep my mind busy doing things i normally wouldnt do. now just gottas buy more lights to put outside in windows ect

There's a house in Telford that is covered in lights. Think National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, and then add some more!!! It's as tacky as hell!x

Good god mnko - its November!! But as you say,if it keeps your mind off other things then that's a good thing.

I'm the same as PatriciaH, haven't even started the shopping and as for decorations, don't even go there!

Mine go up when the kids break up from school, this year that's 20th December.

Just the right time in my opinion!

Kids love it too, they come home and the house is all christmassy!!

yeah mine go up as the kids break up from school and then i whip them down on 2nd of January, thats long enough.

I've got all my presents bought and wrapped, bought new sparking white lights for my downstairs windows, and am waiting until Saturday the 2nd of December to put them up. November seems a little too early for me, but fair play to you. If it brings a bit of magic to the kids, then it's worth it.

I think u are the first person in Dublin to put your decorations up I could be wrong, wont be putting mine up until dec 8th or there abouts, do you not think makes it a bit long for the kids waiting for santa etc. When I was a kid mam and dad put the tree up the week before and it used to seem like forever waiting for christams eve.

houseworks all done. has to be extra specially clean were having a party for Pam's 26th on friday then off to TGIFridays then into town then back home to carry on the party. gonna be a long night me thinks, will be drinking coors light bit healthier than carlsberg, not by much i grant you but it all helps.
