I'm having really bad trouble at the mo with this, sometimes still being wide awake at 3am!!Annoying to say the least! Has anyone got any fool proof suggestions on what might help?

I have heard that putting a pad and pen by your bed and writing down whats bothering you sometimes help. Milky drink before bed warm bath an hour before you want to sleep as well. Lavender sometimes helps but personally it gives me a headache. not eating too late in the evening and having no caffeine after a certain time.
I count very fast so that nothing else can enter my mind!!!!

I have trained myself to get up rather than tossing and turning. Then I do something useful such as ironing or answering letters or emails - it seems a shame to waste the time. I have found that I don't get tired the next day and just feel that my body doesnt need the sleep at that particular time.
