A friend spoke with a 'spiritual counsellor' who told her she should find out about ' electronic writing'. Has anybody any idea what this is or where she can find out about it?
Thanks.

Could it mean voice recognition programmes such as Dragon?
Assuming a spiritual counsellor is a type of medium - I would guess she/he actually said 'automatic writing' - not electronic writing. Automatic writing is basically writing whilst in a trance and is a form of channelling with the spirit world.
.......which should be avoided like the plague!!!
agree with Anthomson, automatic writing, but that it's a way of tapping your unconscious, like pendulum swinging, and it's benign - not malignant like ouija is - Avoid ouija,
xyzzy, I have to disagree in the strongest possible way (nicely, of course!).

From a very young child I was frequently in the company of mediums, spiritualists and 'spirit writers' , so I do speak from experience - bad ones. I'm not going into details, but my advice is - Please Leave Well Alone.

Cetti - why are you responding to someone who hasn't posted -kind of spooky!
ok Cetti, Avoid automatic writing as well [as ouija], i'm easily swayed. :-)
Automatic Writing can be used very effectivley as a form of therapy - possibly under hypnosis. I agree that the 'channelling spirits' part sounds a bit sinister and I wouldn't try it myself like that, but it does have more practical uses too. It basically works by, when in a state of deep relaxation or trance, you allow your hand to draw or write answers to a question that might be bothering you and little tiny, subconscious, muscle movements in your hand wiggle the pen about and make a scribble - which may or may not be readable but can often, with help, be deciphered to give an answer.
