Does wearing a hat a lot make it easier to go bald and if you are going bald does wearing a hat speed up the process?

I have heard that it is not true...but I swear everyone I know who wears hats on a everyday bases does go bald...and if wearing tights that are course can cause hair not to grow on your legs,seems it could be true wearing a hat would do the same (rub the hair follicle until it doesnt produce hair anymore)
