pregnancy is different for every woman (I presume shes pregnant but you didnt actually say).

Some hardly change at all and yet can eat loads, some eat not much more than usual and gain weight, its the luck of the draw Im afraid. Some lucky ones dont even show until last few weeks, some show as soon as a few weeks.

If your sister and her midwife are happy with the weightgain and theres no sign of pregnancy caused diabetes (she will have regular checkups for that as routine) then Im sure alls fine.
when i had my first i put on nearly four stone, with the second 2 and with my last one i put on 7lbs,everyones different tell her not too worry.
just to add, I was 2 and a half stone heavier by my 42nd week (yes i went way overdue) and yet a week after the birth i was 1 stone lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight.
Shame i couldnt keep it off though lol
I put on 3 stone with each of mine (4 pregnancies) luckily I didn't keep all that weight on...2 stone of it disappeared the day after the birth!

It is quite usual to lose a bit of weight towards the end of the pregnancy..but only a few pounds.
