I met a wonderful man in the summer and we have fallen very much in love. He's the best thing that ever happened to me. We've made plans to move in together, which I very much want to do. We've spend alot of time together and i have no doubt it would work. He's staying with me at the moment and it's great being together. Soon he'll be off back up north where he lives. We're both feeling the stress of a long distance relationship, however we have to wait until at least the spring to move to due to work commitments. We plan to move an hour or so out of London.
I'm starting to get scared about leaving london and being away from my friends. I'll be commuting in for work and am sure i'll still see them all. I worry that I'm resistant to change and am worrying unduly. I want to be with him but I am scared of the future. Am I commitment phobe or is it understandable that i have fears?
Sometimes you've got to take chances in life. At the end of the day you aint really that far away from London as for the future nobody knows whats round the corner, if its feels rite at the moment then go for it
I think your just worried about the massive change hun, but if you know it's right then just go for it. Make sure you stay in touch with your friends by phone and e-mail and meet up regularly. You'll be fine!!
I think most of us would move somewhere completely different to be with someone they love so just be brave and keep thinking about all the good things that will come out of it.
If it helps, a friend of mine moved from London to Wiltshire to be with her fella!! Left her job in the police and everything!! Is now pregnant with second child and they're getting married next year!! Good luck hun xxx
Just do it, nothing ventured, nothing gained, I moved from Wales to London, had to find a new job, get a flat, just to be with my bloke. 2 and a half years later we are still together.
Always better to do something rather than wonder in the future 'what if'.
I met my husband 20 years ago. He lived in London I lived in Wales. After 4 months on travelling back and forth I finally moved up to London, left all my family and friends for a completely different life altogether. I had never even lived away from home before!!
We lived in London and Hertfordshire together until 6 years ago and then moved back to Wales. I'm very glad I made the initial move even though it was pretty scarey at the time.
