Just sitting in the office, in the City of London and having a decision about London tube stations; what's your favourite and why? One of the girls says Kings Cross, because of Harry Potter And one of the guys just passing says Euston, because he lost his virginity in a car park around the back of it (nice!!) For me its Notting Hill Gate, because not only do I love the building itself but its also the nearest one from my estrained girlfriend (God, I miss her Boo Hoo!!)
So what's yours, and why (can be other stations in the world too I promise were not all train anoraks around here, just a little bored, that's all!)
Tottenham Court Road because that was the tube station we got off at to go to Gower St where the woman who became my future wife had her apartment. She let my sons and I stay with her for as long as we needed and I fell in love with her, we got married and ten years later I'm the happiest man alive:)
I'd have to say Paddington Station as it hold loads of memories of my grandparents taking me there when I was small to see the Paggington in his glass box.
eh oop Curly, I used to live down Camberwell Road, Elephant and Castle... what a mad time that was lol.... I think I was the only person allowed to write cheques out down that road hehe....
My fave station was Green Park for work at
The International Sporting Club Park lane....
I used St Paul's for work or sometimes Blackfriars. Lived all over so used a mixture of West Kensington, Hamstead, Finchley Road, Earls Court and Belsize Park.
Love Tottenham Court Road where i used to change as you can usually see the cute little tube mice who used to entertain me and I love the way it's like a old fashioned maze :)
I used to work in Notting Hill gate, so I have a fondnes for it, but my favourites are Latimer Road, cos thats where I lived, shepherds Bush cos thats where my wife lived, and Richmond cos when I skived off work I used to go out that way
I used to love Angel Islington when the platforms were an island in the middle so now I suppose I'll have to go with Bank, just because of the curved platform - mind the gap!
beryllium, the elephant and castle pub was my next door neighbour, and the joys of the shopping centre, it was'nt the ministry of salsa.com, but there was a nightclub, called salsa something which was open to 5am, i only left a few months ago, but loved ot there
Definitly none in London....................Love the place but reminds me so much when my ex boyfriend took me out for the night and ended up trying to kill me..........so would have to be liverpool limestreet ..........for reasons close to my heart!!!!!
