Drinking pints...
29 Answers
I know this is another example of me showing my age and sheltered upbringing (Ha Ha!) but does anyone else think its unladylike for women to drink pints? Personally I've never done it for this reason ( except once when some silly man bet me 10 I couldn't drink his pint of Guinness in one go). Am I just being old fashioned?

I always get a pint when I'm out, saves me going back to the bar for a while, also I've found I drink more if I just have a half so pints for me!!
I have seen an increase in women getting pints at my local and see nothing wrong with it, although there is a woman who buys a pint and then spills most on the floor as she tries to pour it into a half glass!!!!!

Hmmm, i think it looks so disgusting when you see a nice girl drinking a pint of lager. I just look at them and wait for them to burp...
I actually go up to women and tell them for drinking pints, letting them know how foul it looks. I get the same reply each time. They all say "well it saves going back to the bar doesnt it". A lot of them actually dont realise that they look rough. they always order a half after i have shown them what other women look like and after i have given them my point of view...

When i go out with the lads ( i am female) they won't let me get a half. They say i drink them just as quick as them and so i should have a pint. When i have put my foot down before and said 'i want a half' it came back with umbrellas and cherrys hanging out of it. So, no not all men think its unladylike. If you are out and on a mission then a pint it is !
Many years ago when I was a teenager (sigh) I frequented quite a few public houses and none of them would serve a woman a pint ~ two halves, yes..but not a pint!
I guess nowadays it's different, and too right. What on earth is wrong with it I don't know. My uncles missus drinks pints of Guiness and she is the most ladylike woman I have ever met..the pint doesn't detract from that :o)

Yo!! Geezer if you came n told me about myself I'd drop the nut on ya before kicking ya with me steeltoe caps n snubbing me rollie on ya forehead!!
But seriously....I drink pints & smoke roll ups & even though I class myself as a 'geezer bird' I am still very much a lady!!
I drink pints coz I would be sozzled drinking 'lady' drinks or halves & smoke rollies coz its cheaper!! My mouth isn't foul & although I can be one of the lads I wont accept 'crude talk'. I'm not getting on the defensive here btw I just find it 'humourous' how perceptions can be made :-) being a cocktail sipping, non-smoker doesn't stop you being riff-raff LOL
