For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.i never use soap - ever. you never seem to read owt good about it - at college, our beauty tutors would tell us the same things about it being bad and blocking pores etc etc etc, as would the 'experts' who came in to talk to us about beauty and make up etc.. i use baby wipes to remove my make up and about the oil one of the higher tutors told us we shouldn't be using that on our faces either? dunno why - i gave up listening haha. really though you should cleanse, tone and moisturise - but that's common sense init?

Years ago soap didn't have the natural Ph balance that the skin does so it would strip the natural oils from the surface of the epidemis (skin). Now there are products like Dove soap that have natural Ph balance which is the same as the skin but the old fallacy that soap is bad for your skin keeps cropping up.
I do use a creamy face cleanser/make up remover but wash it off with warm water and a face cloth with Dove soap or similar. I always use moisturiser and try and drink lots of fluid to keep my skin hydrated. It must work as I never get taken for my age ;-)
I believe skin types are genetic and other factors can govern how skin ages - smoking or sun bathing for example.
