Does anyone else get this - when I have a coldsore or mouth ulcer, I also get a strange lump in my cheek close to my jaw which is slightly tender and moves slightly.

Is it just me because I have asked around locally and everyone says they don't get it!

Cheers

Hello! :o)

I only ever get mouth ulcers when I'm really stressed. I've never had any lumps though. Are you sure you're not biting the inside of your cheek?

p.s. I swear by TCP. It gets rid of the ulcer in 2 days for me!
It will be a swollen gland, working to fight the infection of the cold sore or ulcer (and also sore throats, tooth infections, etc.) The glands nearest the infection are the ones that work the hardest. They feel like a small softish ball and move under the skin. Perfectly normal. I always get them when I get cold sores or mouth ulcers.

Champagne - thank you, I'll keep that in mind :oD Thanks for your answer.

TheGopher - that sounds like it! Just got a bit worried that no-one else in my immediate proximity never had these things when they had ulcers/coldsores!

Right, off to get some TCP for the next ulcer ;oP

Hello everyone BTW!
Hello chuck! Hope you're keeping well. x
