Why do some people seem to use this site to thrash-out their (presume) bad tempers/frustrations? I don't use other such sites/chat rooms so I'm not used to it. Is it common practice?

I've been around long enough to say that unfortunately, yes, it is common practice to vent frustration on here ... c'est la vie and all that ... doesn't bother me, I find it all rather comical.
