Smoking Wardens.

Like Hannibal Lector in "Hannibal" I am very healthy and feel a need to return to public life. Should I apply to be a Smoking Warden?

Getting paid to sit in a pub and dish out fines to the peasants who feel the need to light up? Christ, I would do it for nothing!!!

If from the limited information you know about me, you feel I am not suited please state why incase I have an interview.

Also would you do it?

I think it is a job that would take both guts and manners, because potentially it would be rather intimidating to just tell someone to put that fag out, and probably you could manage it. But it would be like being at school. you would walk in, see the smoke, everyone throws down their cig and then you have to spot the culprit, not enforecable i would say lol

I think it is undercover work dotty with spy cameras etc. I have superior surveillance training and hate smokers!!!

The job is mine methinks.

caz I am with you. But until the law comes in (June I think, maybe July) we have to grim and bare it.

My local is full of smoke and the lodge has more cigar smoke than Jimmy Savilles life.

If only people could smoke a pipe like my late Grandfather. It smelled of cinnamon.

I'm leaving AB now along with apparently most other people. I can't stand the cruelty anymore. On my departure I will only ask - is it ok to wish cancer on young children (or anybody come to that) ?

Anyway I've had a great time here, but I am off now. I didn't want to start a whole thread because I know nobody would have answered on it. All I can say is "Don't go X, you will be missed to the point of knicker-wetting"
