I was looking after my friends son last week and I made him some dinner. He took a slice of toast and dunked it into his blackcurrent squash and ate it like it was such a normal thing. I think the only slightly weird thing I do is mix marmite with baked beans (I think its perfectly normal but the other half doesn't). Just wondered whether anyone else did anything strange, mixing foods/drinks etc.?
YUM! redcrx, that sounds delicious! I love cheese on toast and i used to just eat beef oxo cubes. I'll try putting them on my cheese on toast too.
I LOVE pickled onions sandwiches which isn't too strange i guess, but my favorite part is when the onions are all gone and there is vinegar left in the jar i dribble it on white bread and heat it in the micro for 10 seconds and enjoy. I could eat a whole loaf of bread like this at one time. I live in American now and have to go to the English shop if i want pickled onions so i just might have to make a special trip today to get some and some oxo's.
My mother and her sister grew up during WWII and because of all the rations my aunt(until she recently died) used to put her tea on her cereal. I expect a lot of people do that. Elvis used to make fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches! Now i find that gross!
oh my God! Champagne! i LOVE LOVE LOVE Twiglets and i too suck of the marmite beefy flavor off first to the point my point is sore for days because i dont know when to stop eating them! I really do have to go to the English shop today.(Bummer thing though is they are always out of Twiglets!)
Cola floats with strawberry ice cream mm....
my dad's a bit eccentric and has to have shepherds pie with beans, an then seperate sausages stuck out of the top of the pie in the form of the two fingered salute*rolls eyes*
Used to drink oxo when mum wasn't around until she told me it was bad for me lol...dumb child!
Milkshape with fries,
plain french fries with salad cream
cheese slice and jam bagels
Thank you all for your replies - we really are a bunch of funny eaters aren't we? one of the posts reminded me of something I do - the one who ate all the chocolate off the kitkat first. I do that with all chocolate bars and biscuits for some reason. My younger sister does too. My fiance gets cross when I do it and says "can't you just eat it properly?!" but I can't - that's all the fun gone!
