well Athley suggested i drink some wine with my tablets i took for my back ache, i thought it was a silly suggestion but then I thought maybe it would ease my pain.

i dont think its going to harm you a lot ... will probably make you sleepy quicker. A few drinks will be ok

mmmmmm difference of opinion here, there is a huge diversity of advice between it is silly and dangerous and it won't do me any harm. how confusing is that?

Co-dydromol are a very powerful pain killer.......now if you'd have said you had taken a couple of paracetomol....I'd have agreed that it would be ok to have a couple of drinks...

Co-dydramol.....Alcohol will increase any feelings of drowsiness. If you do drink alcohol, drink only in moderation and be aware of its effects on you.

I oftn recommend a few drinks to patients i'm looking after, most of whom are on large doses of morphine. Like i say one or two drinks wont hurt, and will probably help the effect of the codydramol. i myself take 120mg dihydrocodiene and 1gram of paracetamol most nights and sometimes drink 1/2 a bottle of wine, or a few beers, and have only found its given me a great, pain free sleep!
It is up to you though of course

Well maybe she will take her own suggestion seriously and pop a few analgesics but i am not drinking and i amn not needing any more pain relief at the moment.
