The feminist perspective on the family is quite simple: every married woman is an angel chained to violent beast and the family (in the sense of Mum, Dad & the kids) has no right to exist. The family is seen as a male-oriented institution designed to perpetuate a patriarchical socio-political environment and maintain the subjugation of women. Or some such claptrap.
While you may be inclined to disegard jif2003's post he's pretty near the mark.
Sorry made a terrible assumption the jif2003 was a man, I'm sorry if I caused offence.
We live in a patriarchal society isn't that enough furl for the fire. Doing a thesis?
