Glucosmine & What? - Arthristis
8 Answers
I have osteo-arthristis in my knees and I know that glucosmine is helpful with this, but I'm sure I read if you take glucosmine tablets that contain some other ingredient it is especially powerful?
Any idea what that ingredient is? Any product recommendations?

These 2 are the best thing you can take.
I go with anything that is 1000mg of Glucosmine, but sometimes buy the Glucosmine and Chondroition (500mg each)
Chondroitin helps to neutralise the destructive enzymes and improve the quality of the synovial fluid. (I obviously got that from google!)

After my total hip replacement the ligaments were damaged and I took Glucosamine and Chondroitan as the combination was recommended to repair and strengthen the torn ligaments. It worked wonders but was much more expensive than glucosamine on its own.I now take just the glucosamine for my joints and seem to have just as good a result. So why not give both a trial and then decide.you need to give it about a month on each.I look for the special offers in Holland and Barrett but there are lots of mail order companies to consider.
