Trinny, mrwarpig and I have just moved in together (I moved from Ni to Scotland to be with him). Anyway his sister was on the phone and she can be quite pushy without realising it. We are in the process of doing the house up and she started saying how we should paint this room that colour, get these curtains, get this furniture (she even had the catalogue numbers from Ikea), how we should change the bathroom suite, and on and on it went. My blood was starting to boil, then she asked would I be offended if she came over and took control, I said I would, but she didn't take the hint and still persisted.

I have only been here since Thusday past so obviously havent got a chance to do much.

I put down the phone and was shaking with rage, my confidence in my own abilities was shot, I felt like sh1t, ahd when I told mrwarpig what had happened expecting some support I was left dissapointed, he just didn't understand which only made things worse.

Basically I feel no woman would like another woman to tell her what she should do unless invited to do so!

If you think I have over reacted please say so, as feel terrible.

warpig, whats it got to do with her? She sounds like a bit of a control freak anyway.

But I cant understand you being fustrated by your partner not backing you up. Thats what you want in a relationship.

Dont let her get to you. She may be genuinely trying to be helpful. Say thanks for the suggestion, but say you have your own idea of how you want your decor to be.

Thanks ummmm, I know that but she is just so pushy, I am annoyed with her but also with mrwarpig for his lack of support, but you are right I have to be stron and stick to my guns, its our house after all.
