Do you people think it is wrong to be an animal lover but not be vegeterian?
At one point during my college course, they made us feel like unworthy people because we were studying to look after animals, yet we we werent veggies?
We did lambing at college & helped them to be born, also docked tails and other bits, and it was lovely seeing them born, but i still like roast lamb?

No I don't think you should feel bad.
I count myself as an animal lover and I'm not vegetarian.
I suppose it could be seen as being a bit hypicritical (?) but I could never knowingly hurt or leave an animal in pain.
In the past I have thought of being a vegetarian but I just love a bacon butty!!!

Its the bacon butty that does it every time! lol!
I do find one think about strange and wrong though, my bf, when he was growing up in S.A, he had horses as pets, yet he still ate them, that to me is wrong!

I find one think? Sorry, i mean thing!!
I think thats a tutor being a little heavy handed with his own opinions to me. No, you shouldnt feel bad, I'm a animal lover and at college doing animal management, sometimes i think farm work can seem rather cruel to me but what do i know. I love bacon too, i was a veggie for three years then returned to bacon, i still dont like lamb or beef. If there was not a market for lamb and beef, there would be very few sheep and cows in the world. Mine you i think the food production part like broiler chickens etc is disgusting and should be stopped,
keep eating meat youre normal, eve
Afraid I have a sightly warped viewpoint on this subject, Animals are living creatures, they feel pain, but we have to eat to live, and we are naturally carnivores.

We eat plants, they are living creatures, but we don't know for sure that they feel pain. Plants do everything we do, just on a different timescale, (bears thinking about).

When you eat your Banana, its still living, Lettuce is still alive when you eat it, as is most fruit and vegatables, you boil some vegatables, when you put them in the pan of boiling water, they are still alive, we just don't know if they are hurting.

Yo live, you have to put aside your concience
Have you ever seen a healthy looking vegetarian?

I rest my case

She has 7 cats, 2 rabbits & a guinea pig!
Ok cats, yeh, bet she keeps the rabbits and guinea pigs in a cage, locked up all day and night?
Question Author
The rabbits & guinea pig live in a 6ft x 8ft run/hutch in the garden & in winter they are in a hutch in the garage and get let out daily for a run.
We are the top of the tree wiggal. Animals are beneath us and we should happilly eat them. If that wh0re Gillian McKeith says "You are what you eat" then I am flesh and bone not a cucumber dip with couscus.

I hunt, I kill, I fish and I love meat, but I never kill what I do not eat and never let any animal suffer. I also passionately hate fox hunters.

And if I saw some welshman smack his pregnant girlfriend around the face, I would probably not interveen, but if I saw the same welshman kick a dog I will burn his face with his burberry lighter.

Also the only charities I regularly donate to are animal ones.

So no you are not alone in your feelings, but I wouldn't feel bad.
Give up ELVIS - I think your losing this one! lol

lol cameo!
She did ask me to take the rabbits for her as her mum & stepdad were due to move to Dubai, and she had built the run herself and was so worried about how we would get it here & get it in the house!
Luckily though, the move is no longer happening so she gets to keeo all her animals together :)

Not at all. I love animals but I'm an avid carnivore.

Once I was driving past a field full of lambs and they looked so cute that it sent me all mushy. Then I realised that I didn't really have the right to feel all cutesy about them because I really enjoy eating lamb, so in a sense it made me a hypocrite. Then I felt hungry.

:o\
I once had a vegitarian girlfriend who had a load of pets, she constantly banged on about slaughter houses and that the world would be a much better place if they were all closed down. I asked her where she would obtain her cat and dog meat from if they were. Talk about double standards! Thankfully i'm now with a partner who enjoys McDonalds as much as me...
How odd, I am a pescetarian (SP?) but have little time for animals.....just can't bear eating meat - yuk.
