Hi, I am 15 and weight about 146. I excises about 2 days out of the week. I dont think tha I eat right my self, but then on my mom's side of the family they are a little big well they are all buit big. I am afraid that I am going to be built like them, but I am wondering if I am overweight and what I can do to lose a couple of pounds well I am really wanting to get rid of the flab that I have on my belly. I dont like for it to stick out so somethings i suck it in so that friends dont see that I am fat. If anyone can give me advise then please write back...

146 = 10st 6lb, sounds fine, you possibly don't have a problem at all except in your own perception.
Guessing you're 10 stone 6lbs. How tall are you?

The fact you are unhappy about your weight and excusing yourself as 'big framed' implies you would like to change.

I imagine you are still at school, so why not ask one of your PT or gym teachers if they can recommend your ideal height/weight ratio. Also ask for some tummy excersises to tone up and help with your posture.
You may be surprised at how kind they can be. Also, sharing the problem with them will help your own self-discipline.

I agree with random, a bit of abdominal exersise, also, replace fizzy drinks etc. with water and that "flab on your belly" will reduce. Dont worry about what your friends think, cos if they are your friends, they will love you warts n all.
RNB - You're only 15 and have not finished growing yet.

That means you will have bits and pieces that are not yet the right shape, that stick out a bit and so on.

By all means do the abdominal exercises and keep the food healthy. Avoid too much carbohydrate and gassy drinks as that will make you bloat anyway.

Go and have a chat to a doctor or a counsellor, quietly, and see about working on your self esteem. You've nothing to worry about.

Hi sweetie, you are only 15 and your body still going through changes. Your weight is fine , take the good advice the above people have given , eat healthy and be happy. x

Thanks to all who replied with an answer. I will take it in to conserderation with all the answer. Can anyone give me more ideas on how to lose the belly fat..like I know to do like sit ups but what other exercise will help reduce the belly fat. If you would please write back...Thanks RNB
