prickly heat

hi guys, does anyone know if the birth pill dianette can cause prickly heat, or make it worse? i noticed that since i started using it about 4 years ago i got prickly heat every year. i thought that maybe it dried my skin out too much.

Hi t.i.a

You have giving me something to think about. I have been on Dianette for years now and for the past two years, come the hot weather, heat bumps all over me. I am wondering, cos of your question, whether there could be a link, but then again, prior to two years ago, I never sufferred. Why do you think there could be a link?

hi , maybe they have added something new to it or made it stronger. i used to have really greasy skin but since ive been using it my skin has become dry. maybe its blockin my pores and stops letting the sweat out?

You might have a point there - I used to get prickly heat for years then it suddenly stopped a few years ago. I haven't been on the pill for a few years now (I wasn't on Dianette I think I was on Microgynon) but that could be the link. I just thought I had grown out of it but you've got me wondering now!
