Prickly Heat
3 Answers
In the last two years I have suddenly started to suffer from prickly heat on my shoulders, chest and lower legs. In an effort to try and prevent or ease this year, I am willing to try anything and everything! I have bought some Piz Buin allergy sun cream (factor 30) and anti histamines as I have heard this is good for it. Anything else recommended? I wondered if there is a herbal remedy for prickly heat?

I suffer from this too - but only recently. i am going on holiday soon and read in 'Elle' that this stuff - Phytomer BronzStarter Tablets is good for preparing your skin for a tan but also can combat against prickly heat etc. think is about 20 but supposed to be really worth it, especially if you want a deeper tan?!?
ps. dont use aftersun lotion with perfumes etc, it'll make the itching even worse!
Hi Shelle, I too suffer from prickly heat, however this year I took anti histamines for 3 weeks before going away and all the time during the holiday. I also used Ambre Solaire (has to be white bottle). This did the trick and I managed 10 days in Italy in 30 degree heat without any rash whatsoever. Good luck!
