I suffer from tree and grass pollen and had sever attacks all summer as a child.
Now, in my late 20's, I seem to get it for a few days in May, when a particular pollen is abundant.
Doctors seem to only prescribe injections to those who have a very specific, and indentifiable and easily treatable, reaction.
As it happens, my nose has been running a bit for the last few days, since the "heat wave" and the blossom is out in my neck of the woods (ha ha... oh the pun)

I'm mainly allergic to grass pollen and my hayfever pretty much lasts for the calendar month of June. That said, I can get hayfever around this time if I'm too near any oilseed rape fields.
It is certainly possible that your injections could still be working. I had a course of injections when I was a child and they seemed to last me about 4 or 5 years! These days I rely on Benadryl tablets - they seem to work the best for me.

I dont know about injections and things-have never tried them-ridiculous fear of needles! BUt my hayfever has started up again massively since the warm weather started. I found a brilliant allergy site though and have been getting advice and products from them for the last couple of years. they've got a whole section on hayfever remedies. www.allergymatters.com. Check it out.
my poor little 6 yr old get it terribly. His eyes swell up so much they look like theyre gonna fall out. lol He has had other nasal symptoms all year, even over christmas, and has been on flixonase for a while now. He's allergic to grass pollen. I didnt know u could get an injection for it, does anyone know if kids can have the injection?
I was told at the doctor's last week that they don't offer the steroid injection in your leg anymore because there have been serious concerns about it. I get hayfever really badly, but usually comes on worst middle-end of may, and last all of june, and into early july. I wish there was something better than the rubbish antihistamine tablets!
