I am happy right now as went to bed early last night and mrwarpig put the Ikea furniture together while I was sleeping, wasn't looking forward to that.
I am happy with my life as well, I have a happy healthy family and although my sons have autism, there could be a lot worse scenarios than that!
sometimes you dont realise how fortunate you are until you witness some really bad lives, I have a new ethos of being grateful for the wonderful family I have! which of course is why I am happy!
I had a thought the other day, which has now become my personal motto. I suddenly realised that nearly everyone looks back fondly to their past and would gladly revisit it at some point, also loads of people complain about their present. At some point in the future, they will look back to NOW and say "I wish I'd realised..." or "If only I'd known that then..." or "Why didn't I...while I could"
So, new motto is "These ARE the good old days."
And so I'm looking at things in a whole new light now!! :o) x
I am very happy, mostly thanks to the love of my wonderful man (Thanks, darling!). Life is difficult at the moment as I am in a lot of pain, what with having recently had a total knee replacement and about to go into hospital for the second one. However, the love of my daughter, my mum and my grandchildren and a partner who is so understanding and caring gets me through the hard times and allows my heart and soul to remain happy!
:o) XXX to you RATER!
Yup I'm happy with my life - we've just been for a walk on the forest (New Forest) and looked at the new foals and donkeys then went to the beach for breakfast. This week watched all the new cruise liners sailing past my office window. Family is all in good health and happy so no complaints at all!
And nice one carakeel wish you good luck the world needs more people like you who dont complain about there problems they just look at what they have and think how lucky they really are all the best to you.
And ps reading your reply has made my hangover seem trivual now...
I woke up this morning - that's enough for me.
Must say it's lovely to hear of couples like Ratter and Carakeel.
Restores your faith in human kind.
But .... can't grumble. Have lovely children and grand-kids, a roof over my head, food in the fridge and sole possession of the remote control.
Mind you, if Judge John Deed wants to give me a ring...............
Thanks for your responses. You do seem to be a happy lot. I do believe that life is what you make it and if things aren't good then you CAN change it. What a great day, the sun is shining and I don't have to go into the office today but am travelling to a school 2 hours away to help solve a problem there. Great day for a drive through beautiful countryside.
