It's great when you lock yourself out, need a hand with some heavy shopping, need something fixing, etc... but whenever you put the BBQ on the whole street descends! Being half polish i've always got a few bottles of vodka lying about, 1st BBQ I had in my house I invited some neighbours along and cracked open a bottle or 2, since then everyone always brings vodka and the BBQ's get messy!
I hate my neighbours. The son who is about 24 plays the saxophone (badly) in the living room and in the bedroom next to mine. To me the noise is like nails down a blackboard. Sometimes he will play for 6 hours on the trot! Or at the back door when you are sitting in the garden.
I discussed it nicely with them, that didn't help - in fact he played more! So I screamed at him and offered to relocate his saxophone to another windpipe. Now we don't talk communicate apart from the odd hammering on the wall from me.
The other side is a nosy german lady and her hubby. She can tell you the exact time you had a visitor, what their car number plate was and their name if she managed to get out in time and ask them.
