Hi everyone, i had the mole removed (http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Body-and-Soul/Q uestion410478.html ). The doc said it looked very nasty and just in case of any bad cells, he has also cut away 5mm around it too. It was quite deep and i had 7 stitches (which are being taked out in 9 days). I was fine with the op after verything i read on here, only felt the needle and the op only took 1/2 hour. However, 4 hours later and the numbness is wearing off and i'm in agony. I'm supported up in bed with pillows and surfing the net to keep my mind off the pain. Can't move anywhere due to the pain between my shoulder blades :( I get the results back in 2 weeks, maybe sooner. The Dr explained about cancer etc and has said that if it did contain abnormal cells then hopefully all has been removed. I suppose the pain at least stops me worrying about the results. Thanks for the help before the op guys xxx

Hi splish , well done , that's got that all taken out for the best and though your back will be very tender just now , you will hopefully be feeling better soon. Have you got a couple of paracetamol you can take plus trying to keep off your back . All the best .:-)
my partner had one removed between his shoulders on his back, after the ache comes the itchy stitches!!!! dont itch them!!!!!!

well done for having it done, it must be a weight of your mind!!
Glad its all over for you, just the results now, fingers crossed. All invasive treatments leave discomfort once the numbness wears off, but it wont last long in a couple of days it will just itch like cazzz says, that will drive you mad, but resist from scratching. Best of luck.

Well, i couldn't scratch if i tried, it's in an area i can't get to on my back! Still very sore and don't have much movement but i have the ibruprofen on hand!
Ah no, at least you've done the right thing in getting it taken off, I have had 2 removed myself (one aged 9 and another at 18) but wasn't in as much pain and didn't have so many stitches.

Well done for being vigilant and getting it seen to instead of ignoring it!
