you dress up as a kiwi fruit and run around the house for 17 minutes, you then wee into a bowl and if said wee is of a green colour then you are allergic
Holland And Barrett do Allergy/ intolerance Testing. My sister had it done there. Im not sure if all branches do it but its advertised every few months in their window
Google allergy testing-there are a number of listings including Yorktest and Allergyuk....I have read in a number of sources including national newspapers that York is the most reliable because of the testing methods they use. Expensive and I don't know if available on NHS. I have thought of trying them myself as I get an itchy mouth when I have eaten nuts in the past.
I sometimes think that it is a trendy thing nowadays to proclaim that one has an allergy to something or other.
stewey, you are probably right in a lot of cases, self diagnosis, drama, etc - but equally many people do have intolerances - we put so much unnatural junk in our bodies these days we can't really be surprised if our bodies don't like it.
intolerances can often only have very mild, sometimes barely noticable, symptoms, such as bloating, mild itchyness, dizzyness, diarrhoea, nausea, and people will just ignore it because its ''just one of those things'' and is ''normal''.
