How many is too many?

Was just speaking to my friend about a certain reality tv show on at the moment and she said she thought one of the contestants was easy as she had slept with 6 men yet was only 19. Got me thinking, I am sure we all have different opinions but how many sexual partners would you think was a lot if you asked your boyf/girlf/husband/wife how many they'd had?

well my bloke has slept with 12 girls - he is 35 which i think is too many. I have only slept with 4 guys - all of whom i have been in a r'ship with - i'm 22. I kinda wish it wasnt that many though...

i know my guy has slept with 2 and my total is more than that and less than 100. Hes never asked and doesnt really worry about it. What matters is that we now expect never to increase the figures and are happy with each other.

A family member of mine is in her late forties and whilst having a drink a while ago she said she was quite happy with her husband of 28 years but that she regretted the fact that she had only ever "been" with him and often wondered if she had missed out on anything.

I am the sixth person my boyfriend has slept with and he was quite embarrassed by "only" having slept with that many. I am going to have to quote redcrx here and say that my total is more than my boyfriends but less than 100. Like nannon, I wish I hadn't slept with the amount I have

I would say I had slept with too many blokes by the time I hit 20..but then I got married and am now 39 so that figure now looks quite respectable ;o)

I don't care how many Mr P has had ~ I do know it isn't many, but to be honest I wouldn't have cared if it was 100. What matters is now, and as redcrx quite rightly says we don't plan to increase the numbers!

As far as my partners concerned if she asked I would tell her but she won't and I won't ask her because what happened before she met me doesn;t concern me.

I'm really not bothered about how many partners my girlfriend has had. I only really care that she's been safe in the past. I have a couple of close female friends who are on approximately 100 betwen them, and I've seen men look down on them, or been intimidated by it, and I think it's a shame. Most are just jealous that they couldn't get that many people to sleep with them.
I think with most men it would be an intimidation thing, as in whether she hs slept with someone better than them, or more well endowed etc. I say get over it. My current gf might have slept with more talented lovers, some might buy better presents than me, others know more about DIY, or are funnier. But she's with none of them now.

I didn't aim that at anyone. If it wasn't your partner asking and say one of your friends and you still felt the need to lie. Then I think it's too many for that individual. If you have no worries admitting you have slept with X amount of people then you haven't slept with too many. It just comes down to the individual and what they think is acceptable for them.

i couldn't care less how many, but if a man had an issue with me i would have to assume he has issues or is very ''small town'' and living in the 50s.

if you break the figures down into months and years and even it really isn't very many.

I am 35, first time i was about 16 and a half - so thats about 20 years with about 30-35-odd partners - that averages less than two a year!! two in 365 days!

just because someone has only had about 3 partners means nothing - they could have been shagging like rabbits day and night and into the kinkyest games.

sounds really like a really silly thing to be bothered about when you put it like that doesn't it....mmm?
