Any advice for feeling tired all the time?

Hi,
I constantly feel tired and never feel like I have properly woken up. I always feel fuzzy headed. I have about 8-9 hours interrupted sleep a night and I eat fairly healthy diet and drink plenty of water. I sometimes find myself napping in the day when my 19 month old does.
Im currently waiting for blood tests back for thyroid problems but the last lot 6 months ago were clear.

Well to be fair when you have a toddler to run around after you can get knackered, John!
My immediate thought was thyroid. Before I was diagnosed I was sleeping during the day too..and probably more hours than I needed at night. Thyroxine tablets have been a good remedy.

Do you get enough exercise? The more you get, the more energy you'll have. There's nothing like feeling you can't drag yourself out for a walk, but doing it anyway - once you get your metabolism going properly, you feel like you could conquer the world!
I used to take my little one out in the pushchair to the park furthest away from us, so I could walk at a faster pace there and back, and we'd both get some fresh air and exercise. A bit of blowing away the cobwebs always made me feel tons better! xx

I have same problem, but it may be due to me having 3 children well 4 that i look after as one is my step son and i work full time.
But i too have a good diet and sleep about 6 hours a night.
I have fallen asleep quite a few times at work, i have put questions on here about it too.
I have suffered from depression and thought before that it was dur to that, but im being weened off my tablets now and feel much better apart from this tiredness.
If im sitting for any amount of time not doing nothing i fall asleep and feel knackered.
Do you try and do too much or do you take things in your stride, its hard to diagnose what it can be apart from being a mum or to see what your blood tests come back as.

John no we can definatlely not swap! I really would be a zombie! Im sure when we decide to have no.2 the little "angel" will show me the other side of the coin!! The b12 stuff was really helpful more than just the tiredness i ticked a few of the other boxes too!
Pippa have you an underactive or overactive thyroid? My mum has just been diagnosed with underactive.
Nut, I do really try to get a bit of outdoor exercise but I suppose the tireder(is there such a word?) i am the less i want to do and more inclined i am to just open the back door and let Little one play in the garden. Vicious circle!

Could you be diabetic? Diabetes makes you very tired...are you drinking alot? I would'nt take iron supplements unless you know for sure that you are iron deficient...can cause you more problems...you should be getting sufficient iron from a healthy diet. Perhaps it is just down to a busy life and a young child but you are wise to get it checked out with the doc. Good luck.
