baby_woo has arrived!

Hi All

baby_woo arrived safely on Friday 20th July at 9.25pm. He weighed a stonking 8lbs 9.5oz! I was in active labour for 6.5, not bad for a first-timer. I tore badly (3rd degree) & had to have epidural to be sewn up, that was the worst part. I also lost 800ml blood so I'm on iron tablets cos I'm very anemic.
I surprised myself by managing labour with no pain relief, I tried G&A but it made me sick. mr_woo was with me the whole time, I think I may have cracked one of his fingers!

I'm feeling much better now & enjoying my baby. Breastfeeding is hard but I'm persevering, he's back up to his birth weight so I must be doing something right.

Sounds like you had a great birth experience up until the point of the tear (OUCH!!!) and I hope you are now recovering well.

So are you going to disclose baby-woo's name or is it a secret? Dont worry if you want to keep it to yourself :)

baby_woo is called Spencer Drew.
He's asleep at the moment so I'm taking some time to myself. mr_woo has gone to wet the baby's head so its just me & the little man, scary!

My friend just had a 8lb 9oz baby and also tore, she was in agony at first, but like most new mums, she forgot all about the pain because she was soooo ecstatic about having baby Theo after all the uncomfortable time at the end ha ha

Sorry for my late reply but I have been making the most of being kidless for a week and we got away for a few days which has been great!

Hope you are both well, sorry to hear it wasnt as smooth as it couldve been...........between you and nat Im really bricking the birth of mine now! lol
