Toshiba Qosmio
I have a two year old Toshiba Qosmio G20 top of the range laptop with media centre. It cost around 1,700 and I have to say I am disappointed. For starters the touch pad is rubbish and has the most annoying habit of the cursor jumping off the box I am trying to put a tick in or the link I am trying to open. I have tried adjusting the the cursor speed and/or sensitivity in the control panel without success. The cursor frequently freezes or sticks and to free it I have to rub the touchpad vigrously before it starts to move again. I even bought a wireless mouse which worked better for a while but that proved just as erratic in time. The battery has now completely conked out but even when new it only worked for about half the time claimed in advertising so I now work direct from the mains. Any advice from the many AB experts who have helped me in the past will be appreciated. My old Dell Inspiron still works perfectly for my daughter and cost much less than half the price and is about 8 years old.

lol
I do the same .... I can light a room sometimes
I always have to use full static bonding before I do anything inside any kit
a charge will disable the pad until it dissapates ... rubbing helps.
it also equalises the charge between you and it so I'd guess as long as you stay in contsct things are normal.
once you wave your arms about or go for a cop ... offf you go again?
You need wires ... see if you can make friends with a rollerball ... I've had my logitec for years ... it's excellent
failing that a standard ballsey mouse.
