To Facebook or not to Facebook

That is the question! I'm torn..
I'm probably in the minority when I say I'm not on Facebook...the argument if i get an account I can keep in touch with people I've lost touch with etc and could be a bit of fun BUT I'm not entirely sure its all it seems...whats the general consensus peeps?

So that doesn't wash with me.
Meeting new people - Yep. That's fine. I'm in touch with a few off here. Managed to do it quite easily without having any myspace or facebook.
And is it just me that thinks with the popularity of these websites, the notion of 'privacy' is going out the window.
And while I'm ranting.... It's actually like an X factor or a 15 minutes of fame thing... everyone wants to be noticed it seems to me. Why?!
