As a teen I would always get a boner when on a bus, apparently its the vibration, not feeling horny, it just got hard.
I think it happens to all males, it just rises for the hell of it and just fades away again for no particular reason, the frequency of this happening is less as one gets older I think. I don't think it has anything to do with sex, just one of those things I suppose!!

And no we have no control over it, thinking about granny on the bog may help it to subside a little quicker!!

Every night I go to bed in my flat, every morning I wake up in a tent!
Mine happen quite a lot, it's embarrassing at work when I need a coffee or something and I don't notice till I've stood up and everyone's looking. Happened just this afternoon in fact and I hadn't noticed till I'd borrowed the coffee off a colleague, had to sit down again till it subsided a bit as she was totally checking me out!
