I work in a nursing/residential home, can I help, what are your concerns, if you give me the name and address of the nursing home I can find an inspection report on it.

Im sure she will be fine, don't worry!!

Have a look at the above link. You should be able to find inspection reports from all the residential homes you are interested in. Good luck.x

Im just uneasy that I cant look after her myself at home. Also I want to make sure she gets to keep her pension money ect. We havent selected a nursing home yet but can I contact you when I have?
Don't feel uneasy about it. You will be pleasantly surprised when you actually go and look around some of the homes. It can be extremely stressful to care for a relative. Your mother will make friends and have lots of activities to occupy her time in a residential home.x
No problem, be careful about the selection, have a look at the link that Katie gave you will find loads of useful info there plus all the reports.
CSCI is the organization that inspects and governs all the care homes etc.

My email address is [email protected] Wont be at my computer fer a few days. XXxx
Hi AniaSM,
TO answer your question on pensions, the Nursing Home will take your Mum's pension and from that she will be given an allowance each week. Nursing Homes are not free, there for your Mum will not be able to keep her whole pension.
