mouth ulcers

I keep getting mouth ulcers, I have one at the minute and it is large and very painful/
Why do I get them and what can I do to get rid of them.

but corosdol, mouth wash.
its an anticeptic it requires a month of you rinsing x2 daily.
its about 4.50.
in the meantime rinse your mouth with salt water, it'll kill the bacteria.

Get 'Adcortyl in Qrabase' from the chemist
Mouth ulcers are picky, but this has worked v well for an acquaintance of mine.
You could also try an Aloe Vera toothpaste if you get em often

As to why your getting them, probably something your eating, like a Nicotine chewing gum, or something similar.

I used to get these all the time and found that if I cut out all acidic food - tomato's, pineapple's, kiwi's etc then I didn't get any at all!

If I accidentily eat any of thses or something else I find Ambesol is the best thing!

I would definitely recommend checking the ingredients in your toothpaste - I've not had any ulcers since swapping to Sensodyne toothpastes several years ago.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this- ulcers are a sign that you are run down. You need to sort out your diet and your immune system. Go on a health kick- eat loads of fruit and veg, get some early nights, do some stress busting activities, take some vit C and echinacea.

they also occur at period times and sometimes if you are on hrt

Thanks everyone. I have had a serious infection for the past 6 months and the medication has hammered me, so it's probably down to that.
I'll try and health up my diet and get one of the recommneded diet
