I was a police officer for 11 years but got out when they lowered the entrance standards, they really did start to let the dregs in. They were a pain to work with and a pain to police with. Performance targets were a real pain, if you did 6 speeders before breakfast, you did nothing for the rest of the day. How to p off the public bigstyle.
The other month, in my new job, I had to explain the law to a detective sergeant and alarmingly he was not even the slightest bit embarrased
And last sept I got a speeding ticket but when we phoned to say we had poachers shooting at our house, they refused to come out...marvellous

The other day I went to my local police station in town after some idiot was discharging an air rifle near to houses. I went up to the front door to be greeted by a sign that said " All our officers are out on patrol at the moment. Please use the phone" The doors were locked and the lights at the desk all turned off. Walking back alongside the building I could see other policemen drinking coffee and sitting with feet up on desks. Surely one of these could have manned the desk whilst others were out?
The joke is of course that on my way home through town there were no police officers on patrol to be seen let alone cars patrolling. Only traffic wardens issuing tickets.

the justice system is just as bad i am being accussed of criminal damage that i didnt do and its going to court! the person accusing me haas left me scarred from assaulting me, drove round with my 10 month old son in their car when they didnt have a licence, abuses me in the street sends nasty text messages and the police wont do anything- yet i have to go to court over "apparently " damaging her car!! what a watse of taxpayers money
I read a story about a guy who parks his car outside his home ,one night he noticed a gang of lads throwing stones at his car so he went out and asked them to stop. He got a lot of abuse of them so he gave chase one of the lads ran in and got his dad, who came out and added to the abuse and also threatened him. The guy backed off , went home and phoned the police and was told not to park his car there anymore , and that if he had touched one of the lads then he would be up for assault. CHARMING !! Is it any wonder people have lost faith in the police.
About 2 days after my stepdad got burgled for the fourth time in 3 years, he got stopped by the police driving through town. When asking what he had done wrong he was informed that he shouldn't be driving around with L plates on , my stepdad laughed at this and was threatened with being arrested for abusive behaviour too. So he decided to antagonise him some more by saying "maybe if you were out catching proper criminals I'd have something to sit on at home".
Traffic police are a law unto themselves from what I can gather. My friends husband has been caught speeding 4 or 5 times. They always ask him where he's been and then they find out he's a copper and let him off, everytime.

i dont think they have anythin else better to do than to pull people over. i really hate them. they think they are superior to everyone else. a couple of years ago i was driving back from somewhere and i drove past a cop car waiting to pull out. i looked at him as i drove past until i had to put my eyes back on the road and then he started following me. so i stuck to the speed limit, drove perfectly normal, then he pulls me over. i asked why and he said cos i was driving in the right hand lane (it was late in the evening and not many cars on the road). i said i dont think you've got anythink else better to do, and by opening my big mouth i played right into his trap and i got a fixed penalty on the spot. another time, this cop car cut me up without indicating and i was so mad i put the v's up then what made me even more mad was that he then turned off in front of me without indicating so i beeped and he turned round, pulled me over and told me he doesnt have to indicate and told me i had to produce all my documents at the cop shop. but i'm sure if i'd have gone into the back of him, it would have been my fault, of course. i think they're all lazy and that dont care about anything but getting money off motorists. they didnt wanna know when my car got broken into and there was a bleeding cop shop 5 mins away. god they make me so mad!
Totally agree with your post Boo.
I fail to see what fighting in the gulf war whilst he was still in the nursery has to do with it, other than trying to belittle the poilce officer.
And to come out with the ''putting my life on the line'' statement is laughable, did the army put a gun to your head and tell you to join or else?
No, i did'nt think so, YOU choose your destiny, so don't try belittling others by making out your the big i am, you don't impress me Rambo lol

My husbands car was hit by a goods vehicle whilst stationary outside our house. I reported it to the police and they tried to make me produce my driving licence. I told them I wasn't driving, it wasn't my car, I was just reporting an accident and the desk sargeant got stroppy with me. I explained that if I couldn't drive how could I produce a driving licence. I can drive and I do have a driving licence but by this time I was getting stroppy too. I did produce the other documents but never did produce my licence. Mad or what?
